SPELLING BEE CONTEST WAS
A TOTAL SUCCESS!
On October 23rd
and 24th,
public and private
schools from Huila met
at Chicalá Hotel to
participate in the Tenth
Spelling Bee, organized
by English teachers from
Aspaen Gimnasio La
Fragua. The contest
developed the students’
skills in a favorable
atmosphere, promoted the
teaching of English as a
foreign language in the
department, strengthened
friendship relationships
among schools; motivated
the study of English as
a universal language,
stimulated students in
the development of their
communicative skills,
and helped teachers in
their dynamic and
pedagogical roles.
After a
very difficult
competence, which
demonstrated that in
Huila the level of
English is high, the
winners were:

place; and Juan
Alejandro Pérez, third
place.
